Created for mid to upper-level executives from a non-financial background, this program offers a broad perspective on finance as a strategic partner for creating value.
Value creation is at the heart of corporate strategy, and gaining a well grounded understanding of financial management is essential in today’s competitive environment.
It is the responsibility of every general manager to develop an understanding of the way a company’s strategic decisions and operating activities affect its financial performance and its ultimate value. Linking strategy and financial performance has therefore become more crucial than ever.

Experienced functional managers from non-financial backgrounds, e.g. marketing, operations, corporate planning and strategy, HR, etc.
Participants typically have about 10 years of work experience, with at least 5 years of management experience.
Designed primarily from the perspective of general managers seeking to understand the link between strategy and finance in their quest to create value, the program will provide you with the concepts and tools to:
- Assess the financial health of your firm, as reflected in financial statements;
- Measure the financing needs associated with the value creation process;
- Assess investors’ expectations and decision-making;
- Understand the determinants of capital structure;
- Evaluate all kinds of investment projects;
- Identify and leverage value drivers as part of a Value-Based Management approach.
